Mountain Community Gallery [MCG] has gallery space available
for professional and emerging artists

The Mountain Community Gallery is a non-profit gallery that is shared space with Mountain Community Mennonite Church [MCMC] in Palmer Lake, Colorado.  The multi-use building main floor is the location for the gallery.  It is will lit with daily sun, and looks out down range from 643 Highway 105 between Palmer Lake and Monument, Colorado.   [see location]

The Gallery space is not available as a gallery Sundays until 2:00 pm, as it is used by the church for morning worship activities, and all are welcome attend.  There are daily activities scheduled in the building and most will not conflict, and will provide additional visitors to view the art work.

Located on the beautiful Palmer Divide between Denver and Colorado Springs, weather at 7300 ft can be changeable and dangerous in the winter.  Opening receptions and hours may be limited to daylight hours such as midday or afternoon in the winter time.

  • All requests will be reviewed for quality and suitable for audiences of all ages in a multi-use building

  • MCG will publicize in regional and local papers; local signage; electronic announcements; radio; and in the local art communities.  Artists will provide the gallery with exhibit title, necessary images, bios, statements and releases, and gallery agreement signatures.

  • MCG will install the show in collaboration with the artists; to include the gallery item cards, artist statements, etc for wall display.

  • Gallery will be open to the public Fri & Sat midday or afternoons by MCG

  • Artists’ Reception will be scheduled.  Minimal drinks/cheese/crackers provided by MCG – no alcohol

  • Multiple artists are encouraged to collaborate for a show.  This provides contrast and some diversity to the show

  • Artists may expand upon the gallery hours by agreeing to be present in the gallery at a consistent time during the exhibit; AND any other time during the gallery’s open hours is encouraged.

  • Artists may schedule their own gatherings to increase visibility of their art during the exhibit.

  • Artists may expand the Artists’ Reception beyond the basic food/drink setup; a baby grand piano is available as well as a sound system if the artists would like to arrange for entertainment conducive to the gallery’s setting.

  • Artists are encouraged advertise in additional ways if they like; especially within their own circles and communities.  MCG will print announcement cards at an additional cost.

 

All of this for Introductory Fee of $250  •  20% of sales MCG •  1 – 28 day exhibit
